Project Overview

The Thomas Smith Athletic Center is a state-of-the-art, $12 million, 35,000 SF indoor athletic facility located at Shoshone Park and is designed to accommodate all sports and skill levels. With multiple configurable turf areas, the Thomas Smith Athletic Center offers flexible space for soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, football, and more.

Buffalo Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) design for the new $12 million, 35,000 SF indoor fieldhouse. The facility includes an indoor turf field, batting cages, a community room, toilet rooms, administrative offices, storage, and a mechanical room.

The 1.94-acre site formerly held a pool complex that was demolished in 2019. The project also included new restrooms, walkways, lighting, and safety features to create a more accessible and family-friendly space for the community.

The 35,000 SF indoor sports and recreational facility also features a community meeting room, public restrooms, administrative offices, and additional community amenities.
