Proposal Writer & Marketing Coordinator

Jessica Beard is a marketing and communications professional specializing in proposal development, brand strategy, and business development support. As Proposal Writer and Marketing Coordinator at C.J. Brown Energy & Engineering, P.C., she leads the preparation of competitive proposals, manages marketing initiatives, and supports the firm’s growth through strategic communication efforts. Since joining the team in 2025, Jessica has focused on enhancing proposal quality, strengthening brand consistency, and streamlining marketing processes to improve efficiency. With strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach, she works closely with technical staff and leadership to clearly communicate the firm’s expertise, value, and commitment to client service.

Lisa Grabenstatter provides program coordination and administrative leadership for energy efficiency initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in electrical system design and energy program implementation, she supports client communication, benchmarking, reporting, and invoicing functions across multiple statewide programs. Lisa holds a B.T. in Electrical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo State University.

Hunter Palkowski

Junior Energy Engineer

Hunter Palkowski supports energy studies, field assessments, and reporting for multifamily and institutional projects. A former NYSERDA Clean Energy Intern, he brings strong modeling and technical analysis skills to the team. Hunter is pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology (ABET Accredited) at Alfred State College.

Gabriel Hughes

Energy Engineer

Gabriel Hughes provides fieldwork, calculations, and reporting support across a range of energy engineering projects. With a strong technical foundation and hands-on project experience, he contributes to detailed energy audits and system evaluations. Gabriel holds a B.S. in Sustainable Energy Management from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Dylan Kashuba

Energy Engineer

Dylan Kashuba supports energy audits, facility assessments, and modeling analysis to identify cost-effective energy conservation measures. He performs detailed calculations, HVAC system comparisons, and incentive evaluation support for utility programs. Dylan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from SUNY Buffalo State University and an A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from SUNY Erie Community College.

Mark Jankowiak has over 22 years of experience in building controls, DDC systems, and HVAC operations. His expertise includes programming, system verification, and building management system graphics development. Mark completed advanced building systems training through the Johnson Controls Institute and brings extensive hands-on controls experience to commissioning projects.

Curtis Stuart, CEM

Energy Engineer / Commissioning Specialist

Curtis Stuart combines a strong mechanical engineering background with experience in product and manufacturing design. He supports commissioning and energy audit projects through technical analysis, fieldwork, and reporting. Curtis holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University at Buffalo and is a Certified Energy Manager.

Nathan Gaylord provides benchmarking, project development, and installation verification services for multifamily energy projects. With a background in construction and building systems, he supports projects from assessment through compliance verification. Nathan holds an A.S. in Informational Technology & Graphic Design from ITT Technical Institute.

Scott Szymendera, HERS

Senior Multifamily Energy Engineer

Scott Szymendera has over 17 years of experience in multifamily housing and building performance. He specializes in energy modeling, envelope diagnostics, blower door and infrared testing, and program compliance for high-performance housing developments. Scott holds an A.S. in Informational Technology & Graphic Design from ITT Technical Institute and is a certified RESNET HERS Rater.

Jeremy Wacker, EIT, CBCP, ACP, RFI

Commissioning Department Manager / Senior Commissioning Specialist

Jeremy Wacker provides commissioning management and technical oversight for commercial, institutional, and multifamily projects. With extensive expertise in HVAC systems, controls, and building systems optimization, he ensures design intent is successfully implemented through rigorous testing and documentation. Jeremy holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from University at Buffalo and an A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Erie Community College.

Daniel Schrecongost, CEM, LEED AP

Senior Project Manager / Senior Energy Engineer

Daniel Schrecongost has more than 37 years of experience delivering energy engineering services for existing buildings and new construction. He specializes in detailed energy studies, renewable energy applications, and large-scale program management. Daniel has supported statewide initiatives promoting electrification and efficiency incentives. He holds a B.S. in Anthropology from University at Buffalo and is a Certified Energy Manager.

Christopher Sendker, PE, LEED AP, CBCP

Principal / Commissioning Services Manager

Christopher Sendker has over 40 years of mechanical engineering experience specializing in commissioning, retro-commissioning, and control system design. As Commissioning Services Manager, he leads technical oversight, field investigations, and quality assurance reviews for complex institutional projects. He is highly skilled in verifying sequences of operation and resolving operational challenges. Christopher earned his B.S. in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering from Clarkson University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York.

David Zdolinski

Electrical Designer

David Zdolinski has 23 years of experience in electrical power and lighting design. Beginning his career as a drafter, he advanced to designer and has developed specialized experience in healthcare and lighting-focused projects.

Electrical Designer

Philip Brown has more than 25 years of experience designing lighting, power distribution, and building systems for educational, commercial, and industrial projects. His work emphasizes practical, code-compliant electrical solutions that support long-term facility performance.

Jameson Doyle

MEP Designer

Jameson Doyle specializes in HVAC and plumbing system design, supporting projects through detailed AutoCAD-based construction documentation. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he contributes to both new construction and residential projects, providing coordinated and practical MEP solutions.

Mechanical Engineer

Matt Shank is a licensed Professional Engineer specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design, with a primary focus on K–12 educational facilities. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration and supports projects from design through construction.

Jeffrey Griffith brings over 25 years of experience in electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and systems design for both new and renovated facilities. His background includes work on a diverse range of projects, from stadiums to historic theaters, with a strong focus on field coordination and constructability.

Nada Sabha is an Electrical Designer with 15 years of experience specializing in lighting design, lighting controls, power distribution, and systems layout. Tom Dorsheimer

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Tom Dorsheimer brings over 49 years of experience in mechanical design and project management, specializing in HVAC, air handling, fire protection, piping, and ventilation systems. He has designed highly specialized systems, including heat recovery, direct digital control (DDC), VAV, isolated HVAC, precise humidity control and toxic gas ventilation systems.

Sara Greck is an Office Assistant with 4 years of experience supporting office operations, including formatting specifications, managing communications, and organizing office events. She brings strong customer service skills from several years of work in the travel industry, where she developed a solid understanding of client needs and hospitality standards. Craig Palkowski, CEM, EIT

General Manager / Senior Energy Engineer

Craig Palkowski brings over 25 years of experience in energy engineering studies, audits, and decarbonization consulting. As General Manager, he oversees project development, client relations, and firmwide QA/QC while managing major program contracts with organizations such as New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, National Grid, and National Fuel Gas. His expertise includes demand response program development, utility rate modeling, and commodity risk management. Craig holds a B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology from SUNY College of Technology at Alfred.

Adam Aydelotte has 10 years of experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for a wide range of project types, including mixed-use developments, K–12 schools, supermarkets, residential buildings, hotels, and stadiums. He is involved throughout all phases of a project, from initial estimating through construction administration and closeout.

Jason Mock has more than 21 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager overseeing HVAC design and firm operations. He specializes in commercial and light industrial facilities, including K–12 schools, higher education, healthcare, laboratories, hospitality, retail, and specialized manufacturing. Jason has expertise in integrating modern building systems into historic structures.

Dante Izzo is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 17 years of experience in new construction and renovation projects. His expertise includes plumbing systems, site utilities, pressure booster systems, and fire protection design, as well as mechanical systems such as air distribution, hydronic, steam, and heat recovery systems. He also brings extensive experience in energy management and building automation systems.
