Project Overview

Buffalo Engineering provided mechanical engineering and HVAC design services for multiple phases of a district-wide Capital Improvement Program supporting athletic, academic, and facility upgrades.

Phase 1
Mechanical engineering services for the new concessions building and mechanical support for the new sports complex. The 7,100-square-foot facility includes new locker rooms, a concession area, training and treatment space, restrooms, a ticket booth, outdoor spectator seating, and equipment storage to support students and athletic programs.

Phase 3
Mechanical engineering services to construct an addition containing a community based aquatic center with an 8-lane pool addition and fitness room. Renovations to the existing building include a new gym space, renovations to the existing music suite, as well as a choral room addition. HVAC improvements also include replacement of various HVAC rooftop units and systems to support interior classroom and office renovations.

Phase 4
HVAC design services for multiple elementary schools, supporting new one-story classroom additions, cafeteria renovations with added air conditioning, and upgrades to building systems. Work included replacement of aging rooftop units, air handling units, boilers, and hot water pumps; improvements to ventilation in classrooms, offices, and support spaces; and coordination of mechanical systems for new ADA-compliant restrooms and facility upgrades across Eggert, Ellicott, South Davis, and Windom Elementary Schools.
