Moog Plant 23 Pharmacy

Location

Buffalo, NY

Project Overview

Buffalo Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design and construction administration services for a 2,800 SF addition to the InHealth Wellness Center (Building 23) to offer pharmacy and optical services to employees and their families. Services were provided as a sub consultant to the architect.

The addition includes a 1,500 SF pharmacy, a 730 SF optical suite, and space for a waiting area, consult room, pretest room, office, storage, and toilet room. Engineering design included rooftop air conditioning units, ductwork, electric heaters, exhaust fans, power, lighting, fire alarm, security/CCTV, CO sensors, fire protection, plumbing, floor drains, sinks, and toilet rooms.

The addition expands Moog’s on-site health care services. The pharmacy provides prescription medications and over-the-counter products, and the vision care center offers eye exams and prescription eyewear, including safety glasses. A new entry canopy allows covered access to the pharmacy/optical facility or the wellness center, which offers medical services including physicals, sick visits, lab work, and physical therapy.

Buffalo Engineering also provided MEP/FP services in 2014–2015 for the original renovation of Building 23. We have maintained a longstanding relationship with Moog dating back to 2004, completing more than 120 projects totaling over $80 million on the 350-acre campus.
