Project Overview

Buffalo Engineering is providing full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services for the Hamburg Central School District’s multi-phase Capital Improvement Project, with upgrades across multiple district facilities.

Phase 1
Construction of a new synthetic turf athletic complex with the installation of electrical infrastructure to accommodate future sports lighting, as well as the relocation of the district’s fuel storage and dispensing equipment.

Phase 2
Major building systems upgrades, including the complete conversion of Hamburg High School’s heating system from steam to high efficiency hot water, featuring the removal of old boilers and steam piping and installation of new hot water boilers, distribution piping, pumps, and HVAC systems. The high school’s cafeteria received new air conditioning, while Armor Elementary underwent a full boiler plant replacement.

Phase 3
Electrical upgrades which included replacement lighting at the elementary school with new LED fixtures and controls.

Phase 4
Union Pleasant Elementary – Renovations to various classroom spaces such as the art and music classrooms. Auditorium renovations featured lighting and sound system upgrades. HVAC renovations including the replacement of various unit ventilators to accommodate classroom renovations. Project included renovations to existing toilet rooms for new finishes and layouts. Plumbing work involved new fixtures, sanitary and domestic water design. HVAC involved revisions to accommodate layouts and exhaust. Electrical work consisted of new lighting and power requirements.
