Fox Run at Orchard Park

Location

Orchard Park, NY

Estimated Construction Cost

$7.5 million

Project Overview

Buffalo Engineering provided engineering services for a $7.5 million expansion project at Fox Run at Orchard Park, a Lifecare Community that provides independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and a rehabilitation center.

The addition and alterations project included a new two-story, 14,000 SF addition with a health center expansion and a new wing with 10 additional skilled nursing beds. Existing wings underwent a phased renovation that created four “neighborhoods,” each with its own kitchen and dining area, including one neighborhood designated as a sub-acute rehabilitation area. The new design offers more private rooms, expanded activity space, nursing substations in each neighborhood, a new main kitchen for the health center, and a larger therapy clinic.

Additional improvements included a central kitchen designated for meal preparation solely for the Health Center, an open-air balcony, a meditation room and chapel, an ice cream shop, larger spaces for activities, and design upgrades to common areas and living spaces to create a more intimate and comfortable feel.
